Hampton Inn Pillow Fight, Wind Turbines in Kansas

Hampton Inn often has interesting, fun pictures in their elevators and beside the door as you go into your room. I thought you might enjoy this incipient pillow fight.

Driving through western Kansas, we saw lots of wind turbines. We have about a dozen on the ridge overlooking Oak Ridge. Western Kansas has hundreds. Here's a page describing one of the developments: http://kansastravel.org/smokeyhillwindfarm.htm.

The Smoky Hills Wind Farm can produce a peak of 250 megawatts. Each year, it produces enough electricity to power about 16000 homes.
