to Houston and back: day 9

The Drury Inn in Birmingham was very comfortable. We slept as best we could (never as good on the road as at home).

The sun came up early in Birmingham so we got up and got moving. We only had about four hours to drive, but we had stops and we lost an hour because of crossing from central to eastern time. We wound up arriving home at almost 3:00 pm.

After unloading the car, we went to Kroger to restock the pantry for the coming week. It sure is nice to be home!
